Pabongkha, or the Maru Palace, lies on Wuduk Hill on the north side of Lhasa city, in Nyangdren of Lhasa District. The palace is said to have been built in the 7th century during the time of King Songtsen Gampo. Tönmi Sambhota, the minister of King Songtsen Gampo, lived here for a long time, during which he invented Tibetan language as well as translated the twenty-one sutras and tantras of Avalokiteshvara. In the palace is the famous six letter mani mantra written by Tönmi Sambhota and also many self-arisen objects of worship. 

ཕ་བོང་ཁའི་སྐུ་མཁར་མ་རུ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་འདི་ནི་ལྷ་ས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་གྱི་ཉང་བྲན་ཡུལ་ཚོའི་ཁོངས་སྟེ། ལྷ་ས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་གྱི་བྱང་ངོས་ཀྱི་དབུ་གདུགས་རིའི་སྟེང་དུ་ཆགས་ཡོད། འདི་ནི་དུས་རབས་བདུན་པར་ཆོས་རྒྱལ་སྲོང་བཙན་སྒམ་པོའི་སྐུ་རིང་ལ་བཞེངས་པ་དང་། སློབ་དཔོན་ཐོན་མི་སམ་བྷོ་ཊ་གནས་འདིར་ཡུན་རིང་བཞུགས་ཏེ་བོད་ཡིག་གསར་བཟོ་མཛད་པ་དང་། སྤྱན་རས་གཟིགས་མདོ་རྒྱུད་ཉེར་གཅིག་སོགས་བོད་ཡིག་ཏུ་བསྒྱུར་བ་རེད། འདིར་སློབ་དཔོན་ཐོན་མའི་ཕྱག་བྲིས་སུ་གྲགས་པའི་མ་ཎི་ཡིག་དྲུག་དང་རང་བྱོན་མང་པོ་ཡོད་དོ། །

帕邦喀宫或宫堡位于拉萨市娘热乡境内, 在拉萨市北面的乌斗山坡上。这座宫堡建于7世纪松赞干布国王时期。土弥·桑布扎大臣在这里生活了很长时间, 在此期间他发明了藏语,并翻译了《二十一种佛教经典》等。这宫堡里有土弥·桑布扎大臣亲笔题写的六字真言, 还有许多自出现的天然佛像。
