Yamdrok Turquoise Lake is located on the north side of Nakartsé county, in Lhokha prefecture of the Tibet Autonomous Region. The lake has an area of 678 square kilometers and at an elevation of 4,441 meters, it is the largest lake in Tibet Plateau. There are many fish and birds like wild ducks and seagulls. The lake was crowded with cattle, sheep, and horses from nearby herders. On top of the Gampa Pass, one can see the spectacular beauty of the Yamdrok Turquoise Lake. Once upon a time, Gampa Tso and Yamdrok Turquoise Lake were referred to the boundary between Ü and Tsang.

ཡར་འབྲོག་གཡུ་མཚོ་ནི་བོད་རང་སྐྱོང་ལྗོངས་ལྷོ་ཁ་ས་ཁུལ་གྱི་སྣ་དཀར་རྩེ་རྫོང་གི་བྱང་རྒྱུད་དུ་ཆགས་པ་དང་། མཚོ་འདིའི་རྒྱ་ཁྱོན་ལ་སྤྱི་ལེ་གྲུ་བཞི་མ་དྲུག་བརྒྱ་བདུན་ཅུ་དོན་བརྒྱད་དང་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ངོས་ལས་སྨི་བཞི་སྟོང་བཞི་བརྒྱ་བཞི་བཅུ་ཞེ་གཅིག་གི་སར་ཡོད་པས། མདོ་དབུས་མཐོ་སྒང་གི་མཚོ་ཆེས་ཆེ་བ་ཞིག་ཡིན། མཚོ་ནང་དུ་ཉ་དང་བྱ་ངུར་པ། ཆུ་སྐྱར་སོགས་ཤིན་ཏུ་མང་ཞིང་། མཚོ་འགྲམ་དུ་ཉེ་འཁོར་གྱི་འབྲོག་པ་ཚོའི་རྟ་ནོར་ལུག་གསུམ་གྱིས་གང་ཡོད། གམ་པ་ལ་མོའི་ལ་རྩེར་བུད་ན་ཡར་འབྲོག་གཡུ་མཚོའི་མཛེས་སྡུག་མཐོང་ཐུབ་ཅིང་། སྔོན་གྱི་དུས་སུ་གམ་པ་ལ་མོ་དང་ཡར་འབྲོག་གཡུ་མཚོ་ནི་དབུས་གཙང་གཉིས་ཀྱི་དབྱེ་མཚམས་སུ་བགྲང་གི་ཡོད།

羊卓雍错聖湖位于西藏自治区山南地区浪卡子县的北部。这个聖湖的面积有六百七十八平方公里，湖面海拔是四千四百四十一米，是藏区最大的湖。湖里有鱼， 黄野鸭，海鸥等很多。湖边挤满了附近牧民的牛、羊， 马等。走上岗巴拉毛的山顶，可以看到羊卓雍错壮观的美丽。从前，岗巴拉姆和羊卓雍错被称为“卫”和“藏”的边界。
