The Chumey Middle Secondary School is located along the Bumthang-Trongsa highway in Chumey.
Chumey Middle Secondary School is located on the highway about 20 km from Jakar Dzong on the way to Trongsa, south of Chumey. In 1983, it was established as a primary school with seventy students and four teachers. In 1998, became a lower secondary school and by 2001, a middle secondary school. The new buildings allowing it to become a middle secondary school were built through World Bank
