Tsangpa Jarey Yeshi Dorji was born to a family descend from the rgya clan in Nyangto Shulley in Tibet. He was a great ascetic, the founder of the Drukpa School and a great preacher. He established Druk Sewa Jangchubling as the main seat of the Drukpa Kagyud in Tibet. Tsangpa Jarey passed away in 1211.
