Gangkha pang is located below the Talo monastery, where lay monks and women practice the folk dances and mask dances there before annual Talo tshechu began.
When Zhabdrung Jigme Drakpa went to Talo, he rest at this spot and mad a prayer towards the Talo monastery. Therefore, a site got the name Zhugtri Gangkha; today people call it Gangkha Pang. Every year, two weeks before the annual Talo Sanga Choeling Tshechu begins, a group of lay monks and women would arrive at Gangkha Pang, offers the first sacred offering and starts the practice of mask dances
