This Ihakhang, or temple, was founded by Lopön Zhenpa, King Ugyen Wangchuck's advisor. The main image in the lhakhang is Buddha Amitabha, or Öpamé, the Buddha of boundless light. The statue was bestowed to Lopön Zhenpa by the first Druk Gyalpo.
