A millstone, called a ranthag, used for grinding maize.
A ranthag is a stone tool used for grinding grains. Whole grains are placed between the two stones. The wooden handle, currently resting beside the millstone, is then fixed into the hole in the upper stone and is used to rotate the stone, thus grind the grains in between.
