A padom used to build mud walls.
The pardom, or parshing, is said to have been introduced by Zhabdrung Nagawang Namgyel (1594-1651) when he ordered the construction of Punakha Dzong. In traditional Bhutanese architecture, building foundations are generally made of stone while the walls are made from pounded mud.
