A sacred tiger mask in Dolung Temple.
There are several stories behind this mask. Some say it was a creation of the second Je Khenpo Khenchen Sönam Özer (1613-1689). During the construction of Wangdue Phodrang bridge, a mermaid who was the feminine spirit of the river created a number of obstacles.
