Painting of Pema Lingpa and his lineage. On the right of Pema Lingpa is Thuksey Dawa Gyaltshen and on the left is Gyelse Pema Thinley. Pema Lingpa (1450-1521) was an important tertön, or treasure revealer, from Bhutan, credited with creating many of the famous liturgies, practices, and chams of the country. He is regarded by some as the first reincarnation of Longchen Rabjam.
