Gamba Lamo is a famous pass in Tibet. Behind the pass is the Yardrok Yutso, and one can see the lake from the top of the mountain. There are many stories related to this pass. As the Tibetan proverb says, “When the Tsangmo, or woman from Tsang leaves Tsang, her beauty is like a fairy. When she climbs the Gamba Lamo, she looks like a monkey."
