The statue built out of copper and dresses in silk cloths; Phajoding Monastery is a Buddhist monastery located above Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu. The Phajoding monastery was founded in the 13 th Century by Phajo Drugom Zhipo(1184-1251), the Tibetan lama who spread the Drukpa Kagyu teachings of Buddhism in Bhutan.The buildings at Phajoding today were constructed in 1748 by Gyelwa Shakya Rinchen
